The Philadelphia Green Theatre Alliance was founded as a chapter of the Broadway Green Alliance (BGA). The BGA is a member of the International Green Alliance and is a an ad hoc committee of The Broadway League and a fiscal program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
The Philadelphia Green Theatre Alliance is a program of Theatre Philadelphia, which is dedicated to bringing together and celebrating Philadelphia's diverse and growing theatre community. We are committed to leading efforts that grow audiences and promote the public's participation in this community's work.
Its purpose is to bring together the Philadelphia theatre community and its patrons - alongside partner organizations in the region - to adopt environmentally friendlier practices by hosting recycling events, providing resources and continuing environmental education.
The Philadelphia Green Theatre Alliance is an all-volunteer initiative, founded by Molly Braverman, Director of the Broadway Green Alliance.
